We are implementing the Early Childhood Education Curriculum (Te Whariki) for our childcare programme. Our curriculum includes separate areas for Art, Music, Reading, Play Dough, Pretend Play, Blocks, Science and Nature, Sand and Water Play, and Physical Environment. Apple Tree Auckland Childcare Centre adult to child ratio is 1:4.
We believe that sleep time needs to be a positive experience for children. Our Childcare teachers will respond to an infant's individual rhythm after consultation with the parents. Appropriate individual needs will be endorsed and recognised. To settle in new babies and toddlers we believe in unhurried, individualised routines, and encourage quality dialogue on a daily basis between families and our Apple Tree caregiver teachers.
